We’ve done a heap this year. I won’t post about it here as the blog speaks for itself. We are on field trips every week of the year, following the kids’ interests and enjoying all we experience along the way. This year we’ve done a number of incursions as a homeschool group, but we have removed ourselves from clubs and co-ops as for now the group dynamic doesn’t suit us well. Structure and schedule are not something we enjoy, especially Alex.
Homeschooling in Victoria looks to be undergoing change – regulation increases likely to follow under new proposals. So out of interest I looked at the ‘schoolmate’ app and noted we had been to 90% of the suggested places to visit in the family activities section of the app. Whilst Alex is not yet reading, his learning, both academically and otherwise, is clear to see.
Lots more planned for 2017. Daniel will start to feature more as his interests and ideas are made known.
