A few playdates to start off the week. We had visitors, and Daniel found it hard to be included in the play as he didn’t want to share! At the park he was much better, neutral ground has always worked better for us! The boys hunted for millipedes and explored the park as we were the only ones there! In the evening Alex had karate and the kids enjoyed some time on their iPads.
We headed to the city to see ‘Cinderella’ – an opera. We drove as Daniel had started coughing, along Southbank Alex was hunting for pokemon! We had a session with the magical harp, Alex enjoyed it. The performance was not as engaging as I’d hoped! It was something new to the kids however. We walked back to the car, looking for more pokemon along with an ice cream stop! At home in the evening, Alex and Vio played Mario Karts on the Wii.
Alex, Daniel and I built a zoo with the planks and animals in the playroom. The kids used the coloured ones for water or tree dwelling creatures. They separated the carnivores from the herbivores too. Alex and I found an old book about drawing birds, so he asked me to help draw a peacock.
We’re having to collect gum leaves now for our stick insects as Vio cut back the rose bushes in the garden. So we headed to the nearest park. We played together as the bullet train team and had a few giggles.
I had to work on the Friday so the kids spent the day at their grandparents. It meant that they missed gymnastics, but I got Alex to karate and then after his friend visited briefly and had some dinner with us.
Alex had a football gala day and stayed after to play Fifa on the PS. He enjoyed playing with another boy from his team. We had friends over in the afternoon for the first time, and the kids struggled a bit to share. Alex decided to make a fish list as he’s wanting a pet fish!
We headed to Bunnings to build a toolbox, afterwards I had to take Vio his coat as he was in South Melbourne at a football PD for the weekend. Whilst we were there we visited Skinner’s Adventure Playground which was certainly interesting! So many places to hide, but the kids were reluctant to explore without me. We headed to the market for fish and chocolate slice and Alex bought (another) lamborghini. We played ‘I spy’ in the car too.
It doesn’t seem like I’ve had much to write about this week, and I certainly haven’t taken many pictures!
