Later in the day we met some of Alex’s old but now schooled friends. The dynamics are so different to say a year or two ago. the other boys are either sensitive or volatile, and really struggle with each other. They seem to both want to play with Alex whereas a year ago they were leaving him out and complaining about it (dobbing A LOT). Alex was calm and playful the whole time, it was great to see. We do parent differently to the other families, but I’d like to think that Alex’s lack of schedule and pressures has allowed him to be this way. We’ll never know I guess.
Sunday was Emily’s birthday 🙂 Alex got his face painted as Iron Man, though he is always reluctant with face painting and was the last to get done. He enjoyed all of the games that ‘Ana and Elsa’ held. He was the oldest there though, and seemingly the most confident! He was pleased to win the Frozen statues game, I loved seeing him dancing! The other kids jump up and down but he gives his hips a shake that Elvis would be proud of! I wish I had a video. That night we went to Brimbank but it was closed, so we stayed at Keilor reserve with the kids riding their bikes around in the twilight 🙂
